San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport
Located just south of the City of San Luis Obispo, the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport serves areas as far north as Southern Monterey County and as far south as Northern Santa Barbara County. The airport offers convenient access to and from the Central Coast. Residents and visitors have the choice of two commercial airlines with flights to Los Angeles, Phoenix, and San Francisco. The airport is also home to full service general aviation and corporate facilities.
Parking
There are four public parking lots at the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport. Payment is required for all parking within these lots, including restaurant patrons. Prepayment is required for all parking. Parking permits are available at the entrance to each parking lot as well as at the information desk in the terminal lobby.
Metered / Short-Term Parking
Meters will accept quarters only. "Green head" metered spaces in lot 2 are for a maximum of 30 minutes. "Gray head" metered parking lot spaces in lot 2 are for a maximum of 24 hours. Rate for all meters is 25ยข for 15 minutes. Meters accept quarters only. Credit cards are not accepted.
Curbside Parking
White curbside parking nearest the terminal is designated as a passenger-loading zone and is limited to two minutes. Vehicles may not be left unattended at anytime. The curb area directly opposite the terminal is a commercial loading zone for use by taxi cab and limousine services. The curbside closest to the restaurant is designated as a commercial loading zone for delivery trucks.
Long Term Parking and Permit Instructions
Long term parking is available in lots 1, 4 and 5. Lot 1 is $12.00 per calendar day. Lots 4 and 5 are $8.00 per calendar day. All long term parking lots are self serve. Obtain the required parking permit from the grey box at the entrance to each lot. After completing the permit, it is then deposited in the drop box located at the information desk in the terminal lobby. Payments may be made with either cash or check. Credit cards are not accepted.
Specific permit instructions are as follows:
- Follow instructions as indicated on permit. Be sure to leave the top copy of the permit printed side facing up on the driver's side of the dashboard.
- Payment is due for any portion of day the vehicle is parked at the airport. Fees are based on a calendar day, not a 24 hour period.
- Retain the permit stub for your records. This is verification that fees have been paid. The permit number on the stub matches the number on the deposit envelope. Payment can be verified by Airport Administration.
Parking is limited to 14 days. Extensions are possible but must have prior approval by Airport Administration. Cars may be subject to tow away if extensions have not been approved.
The parking permit indicates the length of time the vehicle will be parked at the airport. If the visitor has not returned by the date indicated, a citation will be issued. The citation may be voided if the additional parking fees are paid. This must be done through Airport Administration.
Annual parking permits are available at the Airport Administration office. Cost is $550 per year (July 1 through June 30). Annual permits are prorated on a monthly basis if purchased mid year. Permits are to be displayed on the rear view mirror of the vehicle.
Handicapped Parking
Handicapped parking spaces are available in both parking lots 1 and 2. Handicapped parking is also permitted at metered spaces. No payment is required for handicapped parking of 24 hours or less. Subsequent days are payable at $8.00 per calendar day in either parking lot. Handicapped patrons are not exempt from paying long-term parking fees.
